2012/2013 Season

AMHC Camp

Thursday 25 April 2013 (Anzac Day) to Sunday 28 April 2013
Venue: Chosen Valley Camp, Auckland

Our camp held in 2012 was so successful we are doing it again!  This time we are running for an extra day, but we will be finishing by lunchtime on Sunday so people can travel home.  Being in the school holidays, and over Anzac weekend this should make things easier for people!

Please note that this time there are Super Earlybird Fees (booked and paid by 8 February 2013) and Earlybird Fees (booked and paid for by 8 March 2013) offering good savings.



Christmas Spectacular Show

Training and Measuring Day - Bookings Essential

Saturday 6 October 2012
Venue: Albany, Auckland
Time: Starts at 10 a.m. sharp
Price: $15 for members; $20 non-members

Your opportunity for a 'hands on' training day, suitable for all levels.
Included in the training day are talks and demonstrations about:
  • Groundwork and Natural Horsemanship with Nadine Roth from Being With Horses www.beingwithhorses.co.nz
  • Showmanship with Shelley Guy
  • Presentation and Clipping
  • Longreining and harness - no experience required, any age horse can take part - you just need a halter (if you have a lunging roller and/or long reins bring this along)
  • Trot poles and jumping - if your horse is not old enough you can share someone elses!
This is your chance to learn and get more practice for the show season.  Please note, anyone intending to show in harness, that hasn't already, your horse must have attended an organised event, such as a training day, before you can show at an NZMHA show in harness.

Please bring your own horses.  If you want to attend but don't have your own horse to bring please contact us as we will be able to find you a 'loan horse'.

2011/2012 Season

AMHC Miniature Horse Camp

Friday 20 to Sunday 22 April 2012
Venue: Ararimu, South Auckland

What a huge success our first camp was!  It was a chance for people to learn some new things, meet others and make new friends, get to know people better and most importantly have fun with their horses! We plan to hold another camp next year due to the huge success and requests for another one.
