Auckland Miniature Horse Club was founded in 1996 by a group of enthusiasts who all had a common interest in Miniature Horses. We are the only Auckland Based club affiliated to the New Zealand Miniature Horse Association. Our membership continues to grow each year, with members all over the greater Auckland area. Our regional boundaries fall north of Silverdale and south of Bombay. This allows us the opportunity to host events in a variety of venues. We hold regular training clinics and events and offer something for all Miniature Horse owners and enthusiasts. Often we will employ judges from overseas to officiate over our events. One of our most popular competitions is our Highpoint Competition. This has been running for 8 seasons and continues to offer members the opportunity to compete in a regional specific highpoint competition. As a hands on club we offer members the opportunity to contribute and assist in the running of the club. The committee of the AMHC are elected at the Annual General Meeting. All members are encouraged to attend meetings and contribute their time and talents with the organisation of events and day to day duties. Our bi-monthly newsletter "Little Bits" is Published for the membership and provides miniature horse specific articles and advice as well as information on club activities, show dates as well as NZMHA relevant information. |
